Juzu(日: ジュズ) is a Japanese female rock singer and songwriter. Juzu also means a hard-hitting female-led four piece which launched their career in 2007 with the release of the EP "Glide" available on iTunes, Juzu has developed a steady following across Japan with regular tours of the country.

Life and career

Juzu started music with classical piano when she was 6, and when she was 16 she found the electric guitar and discovered rock n roll and have been writing music ever since. Her first band was a Led Zeppelin cover band in high school.


In university she formed "Sanova Gun" and released 2 CDs under the Freiheit Indie Label with 3 musicians and toured Tokyo, Yokohama, Nagoya, Yokosuka and Osaka, but after her father passed away, she decided to become a singer-songwriter and began writing more.

Juzu recorded 3 songs with Sputnik Kombinat and released her first EP "Glide" in 2007, touring doing both band gigs and solo acoustic gigs. In 2013, she met You-ki and Tetsu and started new career with them.

Artistry

Juzu is well known as "Led Zeppelin-Otaku" and takes strong influence from numerous classic rock bandsto 90's grunge rock artists like Nirvana.
